Who we are

Hello! I’m Anthony, the owner of Fireproof Chimney Services. I live in Tillamook, and I service the coast from Seaside down to Lincoln City, and even into the valley (see the service area pages). I’m committed to providing quality, honest work for my neighbors in the community. My wife Crystal does a lot of the behind the scenes work, and occasionally assists me on the job.

Why fireproof

Fireplaces, stoves, and chimneys are made up of inherently fireproof materials like brick, clay, steel, or iron.* But a flammable residue called creosote can build up on these materials, making them a fire hazard - the opposite of fireproof. You can think of creosote as a chimney’s Kryptonite. By keeping your chimney cleaned every year, you ensure that it stays fireproof.

Approximately 25,000 chimney fires occur in the United States each year, which can quickly spread, resulting in significant property damage, and even death. But these fires can be prevented by burning the right wood, using your stove/fireplace properly, and having a chimney technician inspect and sweep the chimney annually.

*Relatively speaking. No material on Earth is truly fireproof, technically speaking. Everything has its limit. Clay flues, for example are fireproof up to 3227°F and are not designed to withstand chimney fires.
